G.I.Disco

Party concept (with Berlin DJ veteran Kalle Kuts on the decks and Selector legend Smiley Baldwin at the door.

G.I. DISCO is all about the "80s soulful club sound" that influences modern music today and was originally imported to Germany by the American G.I.s, their clubs and the radio station AFN.

In 2010, a G.I. DISCO CD/vinyl compilation was released worldwide by the renowned British record label BBE Music. It received rave reviews from the international music press, newspapers and news magazines such as Der Spiegel and Zeit. The conception and co-creation of the exhibition “From G.I. Blues to G.I. DISCO” (AlliiertenMuseum Berlin 2013/14), which shows the history of German music, club and youth culture under the influence of the US soldiers stationed in West Germany and Berlin since the end of World War II, also brought the project international acclaim. So it’s not surprising that the G.I. DISCO events attract not only the local party crowd and the Berlin DJ jet set from DJ T. to Jazzanova, but also international artists like Kelly Rowland or DJ Scratch.
